Yearly healthcare charges
hi, are you asking about costs for medications? Maz
Yeah. If somebody is on hydroxy and just follow ups. Is it like a burden on healthcare. I am asking for immigration purposes.
it will be very different in each of these countries, as here in the UK we have the NHS, so visits to the hospital and medication are free for people living in the UK, if you are intending to come to the UK to live you will need to check your eligibility with regards to receiving medical treatment and medications under the NHS. Maz
Yes. This is my primary concern. I am planning to migrate to the UK, but I have few doubts regarding medical admissibility. Will I be considered eligible or not. Or would it be seen as a burden on healthcare. Since I am just on hydroxy and followups.
I am afraid I don't know, you will need to check the rules and regulations, which you can do here:
I'm in Ireland so can't say for other countries but my hydrea costs about €30 per month, public visits to haemotologist free but waiting list for initial appointment. Regular blood tests I have done by nurse at G.P office and they are €30 each visit, a visit to G.P is €60
So immigration might not be an issue if the cost doesn’t pass the required threshold, right?
Haven't a clue about immigration sorry
