If driving, I would use a plug-in car refrigerator. If flying, I would use a cooler bag with ice gel packs. Some airlines might be able to help with storage on a longer flight.
I travel on a regular basis with Besremi. So far, it has always been with one dose, but it would be the same with two doses. I use a high quality cooler bag with one or two gel ice packs. I keep the Besremi in a ziplock and wrap some bubble wrap around the bag.
Note that if you are flying, PharmaEssentia advises that you request a visual inspection. Do not let the Besremi go through X-ray. There is a travel letter you can have the doctor sign that has the instructions. besremi.com/pdf/BESREMI-tra... I have never needed the letter for domestic travel in the uSA but did need it when flying out of Austria.
thank you for sharing your experience. Sounds like it’s doable, but a bit of a hassle.
We are headed to Morocco and will be staying in hotels along the way - so at the very least we can ask for ice, or a spot in the refrigerator. There will be no mini fridges in the riad style hotels I guess the good news is that we only need to deal with it until the shot is taken. Them we’ve got two whole weeks to not have to think about it
The key is obviously refrigeration. I have travelled with it, and most hotels have a fridge they will store it in for you. You can put it in a container for privacy. Airplane travel is common with these kinds of meds, but I always bring it onto the plane, so it has to go through security. I keep it in a separate container with several ice packs.
yes 3 months travelling. Long haul flights & back packing to different locations . I have Peg Interferon syringes but same system as yours. The drug will actually survive for 24hrs travel without a fridge MPN informed me. However I get by with smal cool bag & gel pack then on arrival anywhere I just grab ice cubes in a cafe etc put in a bag in cool bag until I reach a destination. If I am sailing with no fridge my injections have been fine in cool part until I am land based . 👌. Julia . Exeter UK.
