Found out if on holiday and you need extra tablets, you need to go to a (big) chemist. One that has a form. FP,57 you need that as you get your tablets. I found out while visiting my sister. The village chemist in England, didn't know about the form, and I had to pay. £52. Then found out I could get a refund. My village chemist in Wales didn't know about a form either. But on line it says (big) chemist and you get the form , asking for it with the tablets. Seems a bit idiotic to me. A chemist is a chemist regardless of size, and Wales is in the UK. Last time I looked.

It will be because the Welsh Government decided to fund free prescriptions for everyone in living and registered with a GP in Wales. The same is true for Scotland. So that means there will be paperwork so that one's own government picks up the bill. The NHS in Wales has to charge the English NHS for English prescriptions, so they need the details.
