I was advised with my MPN cancer diagnosis ' I may be able to claim on my L&G life insurance in the UK?
Not sure if this is correct, can anyone advise?
TIA
Obviously at this stage I haven’t got a terminal diagnosis, which is obviously great 😊

You may be able to claim if your insurance also included critical life insurance. It will take months, with lots of paperwork and phone calls. Worth a phone call, Scottish provident paid mine, after 8 months.
I didn't know what it was, looked it up and one item online said that if you claimed on your critical life insurance, it would cancel out your life insurance and you would have to start again for that. I have MDS and thrombocytosis. I was told at diagnosis that the blood cancer was terminal, though I am already old, but was expecting to live a lot longer. I wasn't advised to check my insurance.
I wasn't told either or we can get free prescriptions with an MPN. We just find out things as we go. Worth everyone checking and asking and Yes if you claim on your insurance, and they pay out, they most likely will cancel the policy, mine did, but I had a decreasing policy, so better to claim early, I've set this aside, so if I need it in the years to come, I have something to fall back on. Take care x
