I had a detailed eye exam yesterday. My eye site has
gone from 20/20 to 20/25, but reading glasses prescription is fine.
Could be age or Besremi--impossible to say. My eyes were noticeability dry
and I was instructed to add Refresh preservative free drops 3-4 times a day.
my eye vision changed as well on Besremi and still cannot see good driving at night . Had no problem before it
Dry eye can cause a decline in vision. I have a more severe case predating Besremi. OTC eyedrops, Restasis and Xiidra did not work. Cequa has worked wonders. No problem with dry eye anymore.
My eyesight actually improved while on Bes. It's still good even after quitting. DMV test guy thought I as lying about not using contacts (old guy/bad eyes)
Is your dry eye a new symptom? No dry mouth, correct?
There is the Schirmers test eye Dr can do to check more closely. I failed mine although my eyes feel ok.
I noticed the dry eye a few months after starting Besremi. Reading about others having the same symptoms inspired me to start using drops everyday, but not with enough frequency. I do think I have a dry mouth as well but it isn't bad nor impact my day.
That is among Bes side effects and doesn't implicate any autoimmune. But my thought is with any indicator, it may be good idea to visit a rheum. You can get get a panel of tests to look for any concerns. The ANA, RH and SS-a/b tests are some that they do, along with others. You can track any trends as the IFN continues.
