just wanted to ask, over the last couple of days I have a ‘sicky feeling’ but in my throat. It’s like any food I have eaten has not gone down and is stuck in my throat as though you are going to be sick from it….
Not sure if it’s in relation to any other medication I take but not started any new meds for about 6 weeks.
I am ET Calr on aspirin and interferon 65gl weekly, never had a problem with this before 🤷♀️

hi sorry to hear that I’m on hydra and sometimes I’m fine other days like this morn I felt Sicky nauseous. I eat ginger biscuits or drink ginger ale hope this helps
Hi Grendall I've been experiencing this for the past 6 weeks - ever since I had a bad bout of tonsilitis. It feels like the food I eat is stuck in my throat, I can't swallow it and have to vomit to remove it... I'm waiting for an appointment to have an endoscopy😬 I take hydroxycarbamide and aspirin. I had no issues with the medication before, and it's only started happening since the tonsilitis.
yes mine ha only started happening recently, to the point I’ve noticed. I’ve wanted to ‘put my fingers down’ a few times but resisted and it seems to have come from nowhere, although whilst I haven’t had tonsillitis my throat has been a bit up and down lately with my tonsils feeling swollen… I wondered if it was just some acid reflux or something, not that I have ever had anything like that.
Doesn’t Aspirin have something to do with affecting the gut/acid etc with constant use? Will have to look it up!
It can be hard to assess what is the MPN, what is the meds, and what is unrelated. What you are describing sounds like some sort of irritation in the throat (esophagitis). I have experienced this before as a result of acid reflux (GERD). It is why I am on long-term Nexium. here is a bit about esophagitis that might sound familiar. mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...
Suggest you consult your care team about this issue, specifically consulting with a gastroenterologist and/or otolaryngologist. This may be something that is minor and very easily treated, but best not to just ignore it.
If you actually occasionally taste bile in the throat, it's acid reflux (GERD). That's been happening to me & so I went to the dr & he put me on Prilosec. I'm also scheduled for an endoscopy first week of January just to make sure it's nothing serious. Acid reflux going unchecked for a while can cause damage. Don't let it go too long without getting it looked at.
I am wondering if it is the Aspirin actually as I stopped for a couple of days just to try and didn’t have the feeling. I have got some lansoprazole from when I was given a short supply of Naproxin for something else, therefore I have started taking these now. I have my appointment at the beginning of January and will just have enough of those to take me over the New Year.
I think I may have to have the Aspiring changed (it is not a nice feeling or taste when it’s bile in your throat) thanks
