Walk to Support

We're excited to announce our new global fundraising challenge for September Blood Cancer Awareness Month and the 10th annual MPN Awareness Day on Thu 8 September – Walk to Support, and it's all about getting you and your dog moving (you don’t have to have a dog).

The MPN Voice global Walk to Support challenge is taking place any time during the week 8 – 15 September, to increase awareness of these rare blood cancers – MPNs - and raise funds to support the continuing mission of MPN Voice, and we'd love for you to join in!

You can choose to walk 5k, 10k or even 20k, and to make it easy to participate, there is no fixed venue, no fixed country, you are free to choose where you want to walk, and you can do it in a day or spread it out over the 8 days of the challenge. We want this to be a global MPN Voice event, to bring together our wonderful MPN community during this week, we would love to have you on the global team.

You don’t even need a dog, you can walk with any walkable pet, and if you don’t have a pet, why not walk with your family, friends, neighbours and their dogs/pets. The Walk to Support challenge is accessible to everyone, you can walk at your own pace, for your chosen distance, at times to suit you, so what are you waiting for!

If you would like more information on how you can get involved with this challenge, please email Debbie at fundraising@mpnvoice.org.uk and she will provide support to help you get ready for this fantastic challenge!

Walk for the challenges that come with having a chronic illness, walk for the people who can't and walk to support the people that can make a difference…

It’s back! The St Thomas’ Abseil returns for 2022!

The fundraising challenge you’ve all been waiting for returns this September.

Join the MPN Voice team for a memorable, adrenaline-fuelled experience, with unforgettable views of London’s iconic landscape as you abseil 160 feet down St Thomas’ Hospital – all while raising vital funds for MPN Voice.

By taking part in this thrilling charity abseil, you’ll create memories that you’ll cherish forever. Please note that the Guy’s & St Thomas’ Fundraising Team secure places in this event which MPN Voice fundraisers can apply for.

We ask all of our fantastic abseilers to commit to reaching a fundraising target of £300, and we will do all that we can to support your fundraising efforts.

Join us and secure your place for Saturday 24th September or we have very limited availability for Friday 23rd September. For more information please email the team at fundraising@mpnvoice.org.uk.

I hope Walk to Support will be repeated next year! With a following wind, I will definitely be up for it then. This year I will be in hospital.
