MPN Voice Nottingham Support Group 2019 meeting dates and CHANGE OF VENUE

The MPN Voice Nottingham Support Group has a CHANGE OF VENUE until further notice, the meetings will be held in:

Clinical Haematology, The Exercise Room, Fletcher Ward, Nottingham City Hospital, Hucknall Road, Nottingham, NG5 1PH.

The group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (except December) 6 - 7.30 pm. It is free to attend, family and friends are welcome. You do not need to book, just turn up at any meeting. These meetings are not forums, it is a support group.

Each meeting has a specialist speaker giving a talk on various subjects, i.e. fatigue management; medications. After each talk the group has the chance to ask questions and share hints and tips etc, all under the guidance of the MPN Clinical Nurse Specialist.

HI Shelly, I don't know the corridor number, you could ring Angela and ask her, all she has told me is that you have to go to the Clinical Haematology Department, and go up to Fletcher Ward in the lift or via the stairs, when you get out of the lift the Exercise Room is the first door on the right, she will signpost it. With regards to the meetings not being in Maggie's any more, the centre manager has changed and she is not allowing any evening meetings to be held there until further notice. Maz

Good morning Max, are there any support groups in the Lancashire area????? Fab web site, I am waiting for my first phone consultation.

My counts have been normal for one year with two hydroxide, I am feeling bleat. Thanks for all the support and up to minute information.

I am managing ET with no frilly bits.

Hi Wotan10, I am afraid I don't know of any groups in the Lancashire area, you could ask the heamatology nurse specialist at your hospital, she/he may know of groups, some haematology nurses often do know of groups or even run them, but they might not be just for MPNs, they may cover all blood cancers. Maz
