Got tested + for Covid via lateral flow test at home at 7am on 20/7/22 sent off the Priority test at 3.30pm on same day.Received an email from NHS at 16.42 0n 20/7/22 saying based on my records I was suitable for one of the new treatments and a doctor would ring me to be given a lists of my current medication in order to determine the medicine which was right for me.The message then said "If you do not hear from theNHS within 24 hours contact your GP surgery" Having not received the call from the NHS doctor within the 24 hours at 4.30pm 21/7/22 I rang my GP surgery and having explained the email from the NHS was told that I would have ring the next day to request to speak to a doctor on 22/7/22.I told the receptionist that the email said "This treatment needs to be given quickly to be effective" to which she replied it was ok to wait 5 days before treatment.
Hi, the 5th dose should be done 6 months after the 4th dose. Pls see below (copied from Mpn voice website):
Fifth dose (second booster)
Following advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), the government has announced that people over 75 and people aged 12 or over who are immunosuppressed will be offered a fifth dose of the vaccine. This is to be given six months after the fourth dose.
I rang the local pharmacist to fin out and she told me to come for 5th jab so I had it on Tuesday, which was 3 months after my 4th
I had my 5th 3 months after the 4th - this info is from Blood Cancer UK:
When should you have the 5th dose?If it’s been at least 3 months since your last dose, you can have your second booster (5th dose). You will be offered either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
General guidance for people eligible for a second booster is to have it "around 6 months" after their last dose. But some people with blood cancer only had their first booster quite recently. In this case, it’s recommended that you still have your second booster as part of the Spring campaign, as long as it’s been at least 3 months since your last dose.
As long as it's been 3 months since your first booster, it's best to have your second booster as soon as you are able to. This aims to boost your immunity now, while infections are increasing and ahead of a possible summer wave. Waiting longer to have your second booster puts you more at risk of catching covid between now and then.
Hi Dream23, I had my 5th jab 91 days after my 4th jab. I’ve just had Covid (for the first time), one month after my 5th jab.
However, I didn’t need any medical intervention. The worst symptoms were fatigue and headache.
Mine was three mouths appart.
I think it’s officially three months. But I had my 5th jab five month after my 4th (and then received an invitation letter for another dose, which I queried and they cancelled, it would appear that records aren’t being updated as thoroughly as they should be these days)
