Covid vaccine
I have PV and will get it when available to me ! My doctor said I can. I can’t wait, I had covid and happy to have recovered so looking forward to being protected in the future of this horrible virus that made me very sick
brilliant news having vaccine tomorrow can’t wait il feel so much safer when it’s done keep u posted how things went
Had vaccine felt really rough had hi temperature for a few days but a lot better now
I don't know if it helps but I have ET and have had the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine two weeks ago, without any problems, many of my colleagues have had it and the one problem we've all had is an uncomfortable arm for 24 hrs, some of us have had a niggly headache which eased with paracetamol.
just had update on vaccine been advised to have Oxford vaccine by doctor because of my allergies hopefully in two weeks time
My specialist last week told me to get it asap. He said only the rna ones, nothing with the real virus in it. Will it be safe? We’ll probably only really know in 35 years (or less if it’s not).
I have PV and can’t wait to have it, what is the alternative? I don’t want to continue with this kind of life. Just make sure it’s the Phiser vaccine, not the live virus one.
Hi Jilly I thought the Oxford vaccine was not a live vaccine? Louise x
Not had the vaccine or a date, but will have it as soon as possible.
I an definitely getting the COVID vaccine at the first opportunity.
I am definitely getting the vaccine as soon as it’s available to me. I have PV
Do we know whether the vaccine was tested on people with MPNs prior to its release?
Don’t think they tested it on any people with specific individual conditions. That would not have been possible but I am happy with the advice being given by the MPN experts to have the vaccine.
I am booked for covid jab next friday because i work for the nhs, back shielding again from today x
I have just has news that my local doctors surgery is going to he a hub for the vaccine. I have PV Jak2 plus and I am 74, the anti vaxers are freaking me out with their horror stories. Reading the above posts has put y mind at rest.
