Does everyone with PV have high platelets?

Right now I only have slightly elevated RBC, hematocrit, and hemoglobin but all my other cell counts are normal.

Not everyone with PV has elevated PLT, but many do. Some also have elevated WBCs. All with PV experience erythrocytosis, which is the central feature of PV.

No! But I do! Platelets are my biggest pain. But now just about under control with the miracle that is Hydroxy. Though the pesky blighters seem to have started multiplying again so have just upped the Hydroxy.

Not only are us MPNers a rare breed but each of our disease profiles and experiences is also unique. Glad your numbers are mostly good(ish).

My platelet count is normally low, as is my WBC.

Hello. I apologize for the late reply. I don't believe everyone with PV has high platelets. I do and they were my main problem until recently. All my cell lines appear to be affected. I have elevated WBC, RBC, platelets, and now my hematocrit is rising.
