Covid antivirals, fingernails

Discovered that I should have been pushy on Friday to get antivirals from haematology within 5 days, just been told it's too late now.

A strange thing is happening with my right hand fingernails, the top part is going brown, like smoker's nails, anyone had this with Covid? Thanks Jo

It is a fundamental truth that assertive patients receive higher quality care. Passive patients do not. An important lesson for all of us to learn. One I learned the hard way.

I had not heard of COVID nails until I looked. Apparently it is a thing. COVID is a weird virus!

Thanks Hunter, good to see its a real thing, says can also be to do with anemia, most likely for me. Last night was hard, felt like my lungs were on fire. Cheers Jo

Iron deficiency caused koilonychia (spoon nails) for me and made them quite weak. The nails look better now that my iron levels are higher. hope you get it sorted soon.
