Covid and Blood Groups

The attached link below is interesting. It suggests that blood groups play an instrumental role in whether people develop a severe form of Covid disease. In relation to the findings, it is suggested that Blood group A is a candidate for further follow up studies.

I know this has been discussed before. It seems to be a recurring theme, so maybe there is some truth in it. I am blood group A. From memory, quite a few of us on the forum are too.

I recall recent posts also on MPN vs blood type, and A type was also a negative prognostic. But I'm not sure about this and any updates are welcome.

That’s really interesting. I have had the worst reaction to covid in the family and I’m blood group A+. My hubby is O and his symptoms haven’t been as nasty. We were both vaccinated in an identical way, so the difference is nothing to do with that. Thank you, Aime x😻😻

Hi, Interesting! I'm blood group A- and had awful side effect to each vaccine. Had Covid 3 weeks again and was pretty nasty. Thank you for sharing. X
