A little gory, but wondering if anyone else has been experiencing the same. On 29th sept while I was out I had dioreah pour from me, no warning, and not feeling unwell at all. Got home cleaned up next day feeling unwell, can’t eat, woozy/giddy slept all day, the thing day feel bit better, get up eat a little, then as day goes on, feel rough, go to bed slept for 3 days on and off. This went on till 9th Oct. Finally it departs,
29th Oct, feeling not 100% stayed in bed for a while longer but got worse as day went on, lethargic headachy, can’t eat, very giddy walking. Developed a cough, ribs hurt from coughing, no cold. 30th got up to settee, had sandwich and tea, starting to feel better, today is 31st I am yet to get up, but head feels bit better.
Is this all just me and my PV? ( I am on interferon ) Maybe a virus? Or like a neighbour is saying, “ it’s the vaccine “
Thanks for reading 💞

Sounds like a really bad stomach virus and dehydration. You need to replace your fluids that you lost. Not everything can be attributed to our MPNs. Hope you feel better soon.
I suggest that you contact either your GP or your haematologist and have a stool sample taken as you may need treatment. I had a campylobacter infection a few months ago so I can empathize.
Could be anything- I’m on peg and I have had a few bouts of mild diarrhoea. I also sometimes feel light heated. I had a really bad bout of feeling unwell after one injection. Did you do a lateral flow test whilst you were ill.?
Hi Wyebird, thanks for reply, yes did test it was negative, think it must be a bug, but had it twice since end of sept, “and” I had it last Xmas, went for Covid test on Xmas day, negative. Just seems to keep reoccurring looking forward to seeing the Dr, hope he puts me right.
It could still be a virus or bacteria that your immune system is not able to completely overcome so it bounces back. Glad you've an appointment so quickly.
In May 2 weeks after my2nd astra zeneca jab I suddenly felt unwell, a couple of hours later I started vomiting which went on for hours. I assumed it was a diverticulitis flare so an ambulance was called. Whilst the paramedics were here I had a total loss of bowel control along with bleeding. They wouldn't take me to hospital, saying that I probably had a bug.Dr's phone appointment, given antibiotics which didn't help, spent a week in bed writhing in agony, stool sample sent to doc which of course was full of blood led to a colonoscopy. Diagnosis ischaemic colitis, which I now know is caused by a blood clot cutting off the blood supply to the bowel, hence loss of control and is a medical emergency.
I wonder if it was a blood clot as a result of the vaccine or a blood clot caused by my high white cell count (currently 31)
I've had this since being on peg, thankfully I was at home, poor you, it must have been a nightmare. If you find anything out, do let us know. Best regards Jo
It really was….I was in John Lewis with my daughter, I thought I had a haemorrhage it was so bad ( this was the sept bout) last Xmas I was home :-). Frightened to go out now Will let you know 👍
Wow, that was a scary time for you, has it happened again ? When I was bad in sep, I could get Drs appt. till this one tomorrow, next time I will ring 111 I’m still coughing, can’t seem to shit it. Roll on tomorrow.
Oh you've got to laugh at what comes up with auto correct 🤭 we know what you meant to say. Tenna pants are very good and will give you the confidence to go out and about again.
Hi. Same thing happened to me only thank goodness I was at home. Diarrhea went on for 48hrs with severe fatigue. Finally after few days was 👌. I had just gotten the booster vaccine a few days before. So who knows cause.Hope you are doing better now.
Sounds like some kind of a bug to me. I have several friends who tested positive for Covid and their only symptom was diarrhea at the start. It then progressed to respiratory symptoms and kept coming and going in a couple of them. Have you had a covid test? Good luck going forward, hope you feel better soon.
Update, been to Drs, it’s either a bug or virus, she is getting me to do to stool tests, one for the bug, and one to rule out bowel cancer 🤞 also she felt I was having A fribillation, so have had a heart scan this afternoon.
