Just to thank all the team at MPN Voice again for the excellent letter for the third primary dose - I used it this morning at our city vaccination hub and it assisted every step of the way so that I was able to obtain a Pfizer third primary dose. None of all the staff seen had heard of the third primary dose programme but could not have been kinder or more helpful - but it was the letter solely that enabled me getting my jab, with clear concise information of what the third dose programme relates to, that is completely separate to the general booster programme and why MPN patients should have one - all were most interested in hearing all about it and as said could not have been more helpful or kind. The letter also assisted all being recorded manually correctly on the NHS IT system (as no provision for a third primary jab being recorded on NHS IT ) and a written card for me as well.
Thanks for that solid assistance and whilst I am sad at having to take the matter into my hands to get sorted with no input from GP or my clinical team (both of whom are brilliant on all other matters) I am most grateful for MPN Voice support and feel a weight of my shoulders. Maz please pass on many thanks for all

Good news and credit where it's due to Maz and the team at MPN Voice for the first class advisory guidance letter. Pleased that you got sorted I'm sure many of us will find ourselves faced with blank looks asking about a third primary dose set against the booster.
Help at last for Helpatlast! Hope you feel ok post jab.
I am going for my third dose this morning. And taking the third dose MPN Voice letter just in case. Thank you for your post and a big thank you to Maz and team , it really, really helps being informed and supported so well.
Last Friday I wrote many times to my wife's consultant and GP with the letter Maz had published and after much denial by her consultant and absolute disinterest by the GP I ended up writing this:-
The third vaccination should be after at least 8weeks.
JCVI stated that vulnerable people who are immunocompromised should have the third Phizer vaccine early September, and should be called for it from the 13th September.
I don't understand why the Welsh NHS/government are not complying with the NHS UK?
The consultant wrote back , still not fully understanding what the third vaccination was exactly with this answer:-
Health is a devolved matter
The Welsh will follow JCVI, but perhaps with a little delay!
I have approached the local vaccination pundits and have asked them how to progress/publicize this
She will soon be due the 6 monthly regular booster, but hopefully we might be able to get her (and loads of other people) one this month
Hello 🤗I have been off the scene with full blown depression and have missed all this! I had the Astra Seneca one and am concerned about having the Pfizer on top. Has there been any thoughts on the the mixture of these different types of vaccine being administered?
I am going on Saturday for my vaccine. When my doctors receptionist rang she said book for booster, I'm a little confused if my booster is pzier is that OK or do I need larger dozeThanks
My GP was of no help either. I contacted hywel Dda my local health board, she asked me why I thought I needed a 3rd jab, I read the mpnvoice letter to her and she was happy to put be down for a 3rd jab this Saturday, she said she had recorded it as a 3rd vaccine, so I will still get the booster jab later on. Thanks for the letter.
