Really ill since 1st jab
Hi Boobles, , WOW ! I'm sorry to read of your adverse reaction to the AZ jab , , I guess when it happens like that so soon after and one is otherwise stable then it must be as a direct result of having it. Having suffered migraine throughout my 30s I know how awful they can make you feel. Have you reported the effect or had it verified at all ? Also have you risked a 2nd dose. . .
I was very concerned after my first AZ one because developed very sore and restless leg muscles and groin discomfort which I haven't had before all of the time. It started about 8-10 days after and continued for a few weeks before disappearing. But not before I'd rearranged an appt to see my consultant to express my concern. I went on to have the 2nd with no ill effects.
I hope things ease up for you very soon.
Chris
I had a rotten time after my AZ vaccination. So bad I didn’t allow the doctor to do the second one. Judy.
I had really bad head aches after mine lasting 10 days flu symptoms and very tired. A few bad migraine and 3 weeks later a really bad migraine attack with nausea and a pain in my head that was horrendous ..I ended up in A and E..called ambulance. I had anyerisim in My head that was the trouble. Ended up staying in hospital..had a stent fitted in my head . I can't say the jab caused this..the Neuro team say they don't think so. Made me very scared to get my 2nd covid jab if it's Astra zenica. ..the local immunisation service advised me to speak to my Drs and try and get an alternative 2nd dose. Which I may do.. so your right to be scared. Speak to your Dr and see if you can have a different one..
So many new ones coming on line and research being done ... you could bide your time see if there's another available.. I'm definitely not anti vaccine I'm just scared of side effects..been a hell of a year and I'm.just getting back on my feet again. Never had surgery or been in hospital before. The medical staff and all those who work.in.hospitals are angels and I've got nothing but praise for them
I really hope you get the answers you need and wish you a safe recovery
I had a12 hour headache and shiver after my first AZ read reports about side affect of blood clots like any one who can't take heparin so was advised not to take a second AZ . I have just got a Pfizer after trying to get someone to ok it. It took 5 months!! And I still had the same after that !
Oh heavens poor you. I have quite severe histamine intolerance and was very wary of the vaccines. So did a bit of research and found that the AZ vaccine comprised l-histidine which is a precursor to histamine. Alarm bells rang and I contacted gp who sought advice then said “ do not have the AstraZeneca “ in the end I ended up going out of the area ( Cumbria) to Blackpool who were amazing and insisted I had my follow up Pfizer 4 weeks after the first. None of this helps you of course, except you could try a massive dose of anti histamines to see if your headache goes. Unlikely but worth a try? Histamine plays a massive part in our bodies including causing nausea vomiting severe headaches gut problems tinnitus nerve problems in fact almost anything you can think of….. few medics are aware of the effects of histidine and histamine. We have to be our own project managers. I didn’t have any side effects from the Pfizer by the way. I hope you feel better soon. Louise x
