Hi hope everyone keeping safe we'll had results of first blood test for et jak2+ said plates have gone down from 890 to 650 so to keep on with same meds so fingers crossed. I'm gradually getting my head round having this it's taken a while. My doc also thinks I've had virus as at moment go no taste or smell and had cough and hot flushes at first but think it was only mild thank goodness but as there's no testing can't be a sure doesn't stop!!!! Husband also had bad cough and temp first before me stay safe everyone

Hi Chel1, good news about your platelet level going down, it will take you a while to get used to having ET and all that goes with it, but take your time. Hope you are your husband are ok, and both feeling better. Best wishes, Maz

Thank you this forum has been a god send for me it helps knowing other people are going through the same. We're feeling a lot better I'll. e happy when I get taste and smell back it's just a shame doc can't test to see if we've definately had it oh well

Thank you for that we're feeling a lot better now except for the no taste or smell my gp said can't test us which is a bit of a nuisance

Glad to hear that the platelets are headed in the right direction. Sorry to hear you are symptomatic for viral infection. No testing?? They did not test you for COVID 19?

I am hoping that you have not become a part of the database for how people with MPNs react to the Corona Virus, but if so - it is important information. Hopefully you will recover from whatever the virus is without significant problems.

You and your husband will be in thoughts and prayers. Do let us know how you get on.
