Hello everyone, Here's hoping you are all feeling a little better now we have sunshine in the mix. I have just had my second AZ vaccine . There were so many islanders lined up waiting for the jab, my appointment was 12.50 and I finally got in just about 1.30 pm, but everyone was happy to be in the queue. No fussing, glad to see friends as well waiting . Our Government had taken over our local sports centre for the occasion, it was so efficient and well run. A few 'moaning minnies' saying they wished they had been in the Saturday group, because there was no waiting. I was just glad to be in the hall at all. Hope you all stay safe and get your jab. x
Astra Zeneca Vaccine.: Hello everyone, Here's... - MPN Voice
Astra Zeneca Vaccine.
Hi bordeauxgirl, , good you've had your 2nd jab. And applaud your positive take on the process needing to wait a time until your turn. I wish everyone would fully appreciate the sacrifices some of our research folk and those elsewhere who through their herculean efforts and dedication have produced these vaccines against the odds to help us try and overcome the worst effects of Covid and enable us to live more freely again. They want to try waiting in the Haematology unit on a regular basis, they'd think nothing of a couple of hours delay after that.
Regards - Chris
Hi Chris, thanks for your note, I agree with you , we are so lucky that our research people in UK that have been so sharp on getting us these vaccine developed and we should all be grateful to them . They have done a wonderful job, as for the odd's of a clot , well the number that have suffered these are very small and I think it was worth the chance of surviving the epidemic, especially for us 'special' people. Hope you are getting on well as you seem to have been through the mill. Good night and God Bless. June
I'll be getting my 2nd dose of Astra Zeneca end of June. Glad you're doing fine with yours.
