Does the Astra Zenica vaccine cause platelets to clump together???

My wife has been on her current dosage of Anagrelide and hydroxycarbamide, for the past couple of years and her platelets have been quite settled at around 300. Her FBC showed 371 platelets six weeks ago, a few days later she had the AZ vaccine. Today her platelets were 153 and showing clumps. Could these clumps be the start of a vaccine related side effect?

Hi Jointpain, it would be best if your wife asked her consultant about the platelets showing clumps as it may not be related to the vaccine. Best wishes, Maz

Just had a reply from the consultant!He says:-

Clumping is an vitro artefact of no clinical significance, but can give rise to problems counting the plts. . .producing an artificially low count

Its nothing to do with the COVID vaccine . . .too long ago

Pardon my ignorance as I am not a member of your MPN group, I have schwannomatosis [epilepsy and genetic osteoarthritis], but it is an obvious reaction I am having with my AZ jab 9th feb, I have a scab where the injection was and a red/coffee mark about 2 cm from the injection mark VERY comparable to my neuromas associated to my schwannomatosis. I do NOT have ANY specialists at all about this very rare condition. My upper left arm is also itchy! I thought I might shove my symptoms into the medical mixing pot, where it MIGHT receive some notice SOMEWHERE? I have no other symptoms I know of? 😤🤬👍
