You've seen the platelets now here is the big mama clump

Usually you would not see a clump of this size on a blood smear. This happened because the smear was made via finger prick. But it gives you an idea of what it looks like when clots form.

Hello there. I find it so fascinating how we have so many tiny little processes going on in our body...it's like its own world.

If words don’t convey it....it is clear in the ‘clumpy platelet’ images why some ET patients suffer microvascular disturbances.

Yep...imagine that thing travelling through your blood vessels.

Thanks great to be able to see how these things look - mama looks fierce!

No wonder we get strange, don't make sense symptoms in every part of the body! I must keep training myself to cheerfully chant 'there goes another batch of sticky platelets! '

Hello clubdino - great pics that explain ‘vein disruption’! - I’m off for my daily dose of aspirin! x

Wow! That explains a lot! We must keep taking the blood thinners! Thank you for posting.

Hi mel, hope your keeping well. Enjoyed looking at your last few pictures of the platelets under the microscope, really puts it into percerptive whats going on in our blood. Seeing them,is better than a consultant explaining it to your. Take care. Tina.x🤗

Hey Tina...I'm holding in there. I hope you are doing well too. I wasn't sure anybody would want to see those pictures but after seeing the comments I'm glad I did. You take care too. ❤
