Hi Jilly I love your Dickensian mice , , I'm a sucker for a cute soft knitted mouse 🐁. . A friend crochets all kind if things and charges very little I think for her blankets, snowmen, Santa's, robins , angels etc. I saw an article about a lady married to a well known musician who painted and noted she did printed angel scarves and knitted angels. With Valentines coming up i took a look at her website but got a shock when I clocked the prices at €90 -€150 and let's say her angels were her interpretation.

Anyway that's an aside really, keep them needles clicking away !!

Regards - Chris

How much! Blooming heck! Talk about taking the wee wee (polite phrasing please note). I do my work for the pure pleasure it gives to myself and others. I promise I will make you one or two soon. Take care x

Wow they are amazing, do you need to use very small needles, I love them, you are so clever Jean

The pattern calls for a 3mm needle Jean. The pattern is a Sirdar pattern called Dickensian Mice, easily found on EBay. I have ordered felt to make the books for the Carol singers, I need bendy strayers for the lanterns, some blue felt for the skating pond as two of the mice have ice skates on. One lady is holding a tray of the smallest knitted mince pies lol. I have wanted to do this for ages so no excuse now with the lockdown. Good luck if you want to give it a try love. Oh and they are all done in double knit wool, perfect way of using your oddments x

You have got a lot more patience than me, I would love to get knitting again, but the old arthritis in my hands I am afraid won’t let me.🥴

These are remarkably lovely, Jilly. Thanks for posting. You have inspired me! I haven’t been here for a long while. My PV is progressing to MF so I came back “home” to see what others are saying, experiencing. I ordered wool for afgan projects to see me through stressors, and here you are with your sweet mice. BTW: there is a new series entitled Dickensian, which incorporates characters from various stories.

So happy to see you back but obviously saddened by the reason. I hope you are treated successfully for the MF. You know we are all here to support you along your path.

I must admit that the first mouse I did I thought it was to fiddly to make anymore but I am really getting a lot of satisfaction out of doing them now so I am really pleased people like them so much. Take care for now xx

The mice certainly must take more patience than most people (like moi) have, but I’m sure it is fun to see the adorable little critters come to life! Thx for replying, and you stay well also!
