Hi there,
Since we are talking about Covid19 vaccines I have question about new US Moderna vaccine that is 94% protective and is coming out now. My question is: Is this Moderna vaccine safe/dead vaccine for MPN's?

Hi
My understanding is the moderna vaccine is the same type as that of the Pfizer biontech vaccine . It’s a mRNA vaccine too
However for those in the UK this vaccine is not part of the vaccines ordered by the UK government. Although that might change now ??
Hi guys...
Now that the first 'Vaccine' has been announced, they will soon all be hitting the 'Open-market' and competing w/ each other, in my view...
Personally, I will not be storming the queue at all... Rather, I shall sit back and wait & watch how this all unfolds before considering if any of these rushed out solutions will be the one for me... Just a thought...

I'm not getting excited about any vaccine at present. My Haematologist said to me, she would discuss the most suitable vaccine for me when they are available, as having ET , it cannot be a "live" vaccine. So it's wait & see.
Hi, that's how I feel.
I have been told not to have a live vaccine however the first two, I have been advised, are not live.
Thank you to you all kind MPN brothers and sisters sharing your thoughts on Covid19 vaccine.
Wishing you all well and be safe.
There does seem to be some promising vaccines coming. When the time comes, I will talk it over with my hematologist, and if she suggests it, I will probably take it, but with some trepidation. I’m anxious to get my life back to some normalcy.
hello light, I asked Prof Harrison and she has said: As far as we know fine…. But pending more safety data.
best wishes, Maz
