Hi guys, I’ve had my Flu jab today. The first time by a GP. Afterwards he spoke about taking 1000 units a day of vitamin D until spring returns. This is to help the heart if Covid strikes.

Vitamin D
I also take Vitamin D but in the spray form through winter.
Jean
I take vitamin d, 2 tablets a day in winter, come spring I take 1 a day. My consultant informed me to take
My haematologist also advised vitamin d 1000 daily so I'm on it!!
Vtr1000, remember to take magnesium with your vitamin D to activate it.
I take 3000 per day - but I am Vit D deficient likely due to NF1 status. Glad to hear your doc is paying attention. Many ignore the basics of nutrition. My Integrative Med Doc does pay attention and does a thorough nutritional evaluation. Turns out I am also Vit B/Folate and Magnesium deficient. Yep - more supplements for that too.
That’s good to know. I’ve just made my son take it . He works nights.
I take 5,000 units 2/day. My hematologist recently checked to make sure I’m still taking it. If I get Covid, I’ll definitely increase my dosage. Studies show in Italy and in the US that worst outcomes were with people deficient in Vitamin D.
1000iu is too low and not enough to protect from flu.
take at least 5000iu in form D3 will be good
.I’ve been taking Vitamin D 1000 and vitamin B as I was lacking in both.
I work in doors so don’t get outside much during the sunshine hours so it made a lot of sense. Made a big difference.
My sister's friends dad has just come out of hospital with covid doctor gave him vitamin D to take home.
I must say I have read a lot of things about vitamin D so we've started taking it on Monday.
My husband has post PV MF .

I have been having D3 daily for years.
