I m newly diagnosed with mpn but dont know which mpn i hv as hct,hb,rbc, platelete all r high with positive jack2 but bmb confers panmyelosis with increased m e ratio. So i m concerned which mpn i hv actually. Pls shed some light on my issue. Pmf condition also doesnt mach with me ad i dont hv anemia and i meet the criteria for pv. I think panemyelosis and m e ratio are opposite. So how come bmb suggest panmyelosis and increased m e ratio at the same time?

What is role of myeloid erthryoid ratio in jack2 positive mpn
Unfortunately without knowing your history or full results, & not being medically trained we can't diagnosis which MPN you have. There is some people who have unclassified MPN, where it isn't any clear diagnosis of the main 3. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the bmb results, hubbys consultant just told us it showed he had an MPN but wasn't clear which one & there was scarring but that's all it said. The best thing would be to talk through with your consultant as they can explain it all & give you a diagnosis. This will help determine treatment options.
hi Spa1981, I am sorry, but we really are not able to give you a diagnosis, you need to ask your consultant to explain these results and what they mean for you. Best wishes, Maz
Panmyelosis means that the bone marrow can't produce enough red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets. ME ratio is the ratio of myeloid to erythroid precursor cells. They are related, but not exactly opposite as I understand it.
