New creation
Clever you,I couldn't ice anything ,let alone bake it!!
Hope your arm is not a big op or nasty prob.Best to you Aime.xx
Hi, hope you’re keeping well. It’s just a carpal tunnel op but second time round so have to be knocked out as longer and more awkward op than first time round. My joints are worse than my blood but I can’t have it both ways! Kindest regards Aime xx😻😻
Hi Aime ,
My hubby has to have same op !He puts off having it,as actually it would be hard for me to manage horses & dogs now.Been so very hot here for months ,so I have been quite unable to go outside at all !Today is cooler at last ,so hoping I will be better...two hospital R Vs this week ,don't want to appear like a rag doll.Best of Luck with your second op,hope it is the last one .Best Wishes xxxSally
Every sympathy to your hubby! It’s not a serious op but the nerve pain, when sitting and trying to sleep is nasty! My grip is getting steadily worse so I have to go through the op or lose it!
Hope your hospital visits go okay and is there anyone who could help both of you with the horses?
Kindest regards Aime xx😻😻
Oh I know Aime,Graham loses his grip and drops things,he has pain too,I know we all get bone aches but the carpel tunnel does seem quite different...dare not tell him this is your 2nd op.
Getting help with horses is difficult here, have good friends who help out on hospital days...no - one wants to help with my large German Shepherds !!Actually they are so obedient & well trained,we do manage them, just need lots of exercise horses are now old and retired but need a lot of T L C.....like me!!!Best of Luck xxx
Thanks Sally. It’s about 20 years since my first carpal tunnel op and it is unusual for it to return - trust me! My other hand was done too and it’s still no problem. I had a bone removed at base of my thumb because of osteoarthritis a number of years ago so it may be scar tissue from that which is compressing the nerve also but surgeon won’t know until he opens it up!
Your animals all sound lovely! I’m animal mad but down to the last two pets now - hubby’s fish and our 3 legged puss, Miss Aime. I’m in the process of taming two white doves and the crow family who have made our garden their home. We still have a hedgehog, though don’t see him very often. I’m hoping he will survive the winter and still be with us in the spring as he’s keeping slug numbers down.
You take care and take any TLC you get offered. Best wishes to hubby too and hope he gets his carpal tunnel sorted. Love from Aime xx😻😻
Thanks to you too Aime,Lucky you having a hedgehog, this year we have not had any around last year a badger killed the one who helped himself to the cat feeder for the wild cats we have, was very upset about that, lots of collared doves with us,kestrels nest in the high house wall, like you we love nature, around us there is an abundance, snakes too ,huge lizards, some really pretty colours, not appreciated by everyone! Daughter has lots of hedge hogs in U K,they often go into stables not a bit concerned there are horses in there !Becoming rare everywhere ,a great pity. I also have osteo arthritis, hip &I right leg....gives me great pain ,need hiking sticks to get around paddocks & garden, can't take painkillers other than paracetamol as I have a stent...an artery blocked due to P V...I often wonder 'what next'???? At l east we are alive & kicking a bit!!I wish you the very best Aime!keep safe from the virus too ,what a state the world is in.Nature around keeps us sane. Bisous.Sallyxx
I know Sally it never stops! The constant pain is not easy to deal with and I know I'm being selfish but I just want access to the hydrotherapy pool again but goodness knows when it will open. The swimming pool is open but not the hydro pool and I know the warm water will help me a lot! But it is what it is. Keep well, keep safe and keep in touch.xx😻😻😻😻
Morning Aime, another great looking creation for your boys.
Hope all goes well with your op and your soon back to your creations.
Love nettie xxx
Well done to you! Bet there’s not much left now.
Hope everything goes well for you with the forthcoming surgery. Xx
Good luck with your arm. Hope it heals quickly.
What a lovely cake Aime, I wish I could have a slice. Good luck for the op, hope it all goes well for you and that you have a speedy recovery. Take care, love Maz x x x
A penguin made with love, what could be nicer than that! I'm sure it will be much appreciated by your grandsons. I still have wonderful memories from 55 or more years ago of my grandmother in her kitchen baking a cake for two very excited grand children (my sister and me!). She made those lovely rolled up sponge cakes, the sort with lots and jam and cream oozing out of them... and also little butterfly cakes, again with jam and cream!
All the best to you Aime for your operation, and hope you recover well. Peter xx
What a lovely picture you paint of your grandmother. I hope I'm.giving my grandkids the same memories with smells and tastes of home cooking and baking. I'm trying to put my favourite recipes in a poly pocket folder which keeps me busy too with typing them all in the first place. You take care and stay safe and well.xx😻😻
Fab! My baking is so bad I used to threaten my kids with a cake if they didn't behave! Hope all goes well with your operation.
Thanks Lizzie. My own kids were laughing about my baking the other day - when they were young, if they suddenly got a pudding after I had been baking, it meant there had been a disaster which could not be presented as a cake but tasted great with custard!! Kindest regards Aime xx😻😻
Very cute! Love it! You did a great job 😁👍
