Idiopathic erythrocytosis

Hi Guys, apologies I couldn’t find the post regarding the differences in the terms idiopathic erythrocytosis, Polycythaemia and PV. Maz has received an answer from Prof Harrison to say: Polycythaemia just means too much blood, PV is the actual MPN and idiopathic erythrocytosis means too many red blood cells, cause unknown.

I hope that helps with the query. I just wonder in time if research will find yet another gene mutation which will provide a reason for the idiopathic erythrocytosis diagnosis. I hope so.

Hope you are all as well as you can be. Kindest regards Aime xx😻😻
