Blackbird thinks hes the boss and demands sultanas by sitting at the open kitchen door. If you go out when hes eating, he flies away screeching. He wasnt too chuffed with me sitting out but he eventually gave in for this picture. Xx
Spoilt birds!: Blackbird thinks hes the boss and... - MPN Voice
Spoilt birds!
The birds and their songs are amazing this year.
How do you keep your cat away ??
We love wild birds, the 'Golden Oriels'have just arrived back to the garden, they are the positive sign of our summer, have a lovely bell -like call,but...it's raining!First rain for months!!!Not cold but dull. How nice it is we are all taking in nature ,helps to stop worrying !Well a bit !!xx
Hi Sally , glad you're enjoying nature too. Luckily our cat, Miss Aime as the grandkids call her, has only got 3 legs and is about 12 now and too fat and lazy to chase anything. My only worry is that Blackie gets too relaxed and she then could take advantage of an easy opportunity.
Kindest regards Aime xx😻😻
Love your cat. I had a three legged cat and a three legged dog Also a one eyed cat. All rescued and deeply loved.
A I know Miss Aime is our spoilt baby, especially when we can’t see the grandkids! But she is always loved. She has her own outside accommodation, lined with stuff keeping her warm in winter and cool in summer and of course blankets, etc.
Every morning she arrives at the back door and likes to be dried off with kitchen roll (even if she’s not wet!), followed by a thorough brushing. She then makes her way through the house to her food, water and cat sweets. She’s not spoilt!😹😹😻😻xx
I used to have elastic collars on my cats with a bell,to warn the birds,in those days I had a tame chaffinch who flew with me down to my studio every day,and risked coming into the house and helped himself to any food in the kitchen !Had him 3 years....Charlie we called him.
Our cat, not sure if she could still do it but no matter what kind of collar we got for her, she came back into the house without it! Houdini should have been her middle name! Haven't the heart to put a collar on her now as she hops round the garden but she can move faster if she really wants!
Kind regards Aime xx😻😻🤣🤣
That I can believe ,collars and Miss A moving fast when she wants to.
We had pups from our Jack Russell terrier, one of the pups was born with a deformed front leg,mum abandoned her so we fed her ourselves until she was strong enough to suckle with the others...of course we kept her,she was the fastest mouser ,ratter,of the others we had,she came to all the horse events with us,people used to stop and ask about the useless leg ,it was almost Jurassic to look at never bothered her in the least, the short leg had two ugly claws sticking out of it....I used to bandage it sometimes to stop the looks of horror!!!'
