Weird brain feelings

I read all Your posts but rarely write. Diagnosed with PV 8 years ago. Only on 81 mg Aspirin. The last week has been horrible with severe fatigue. Can barely get through the day. Awaiting blood test results from yesterday.

I have weird brain feelings which are hard to describe. Spasm? Wave? Hard to describe. Lasts about 2 seconds but very scary. Through me a bit off balance for the one to two seconds. Probably need an MRI. I pray no one else has these brain shocks. Know that I pray nightly for all of us blood disease people.

Have a great day.

Hugs to all.

Hello Kinsalelady, I am sorry to hear you are feeling so fatigued, it is horrible, I hope you feel better soon. With regards to the weird brain feelings, it would be advisable to speak to your doctor about this. Best wishes, Maz

It sounds like what happened to my husband! Like electric waves/ sock. He is very healthy. It was some kind of nerve . It passed away on its own after one and a half week. Of course he was very afraid this time

I had the same symptoms in the past. Although very scary, it’s apparently not related to the brain as such. I wouldn’t worry, as long as your pain is not unremitting.

Hope the fatigue passes soon. It really stinks when that happens.

The "brain spasm" is something you do not want to ignore. With PV, there is some risk of things like TIAs so you do want to follow through ASAP. It may be nothing serious, but when it comes to your brain - take no chances. Back in April of 2019, the docs found a brain tumor in my occipital lobe (not related to the PV - due to NF1). Had to have a craniotomy-resection to deal with it. Not to say what you described is anything like that - but do please follow through. Brains are really important to keep intact! I like the idea of keeping mine ion good shape.

Please let us know how it goes.

I am ET JAK pos and recently had a TIA - my experience was extreme dizziness - vertigo like. Get a brain MRI.

Though the way you describe it reminds me more of how a good buddy of mine had a grand mal seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. Leading up it though for over a decade he’d have on random occasions what he described as brain zaps. He takes a pill for it now and is seemingly fine.

I have them all the time. Amitriptyline helps but does not eradicate. Brains aching as I type. I had an MRI last October, have 2 Aneurysms, one 2mm and one 6mm. Neurosurgeons says nothing to do with the headaches. He says they are MPN induced.
