I take it you mean wound? You give no information of what you have been diagnosed with? Do you have an Mpn? If so which one and what meds do you take?. Atb,tina.🤗
312jon Hello jon, I have PVR and for four years I had a nasty rash on my leg, I went through every known ointment, cream , UVB light box treatment at out hospital specialist dept to no avail for three days a week for month' s at a time for two summers running, Nothing worked and I got fed up to the point I insisted on a different opinion. I live on an island and had to fly to the mainland for a treatment assesment from a group of 'specialists'. A couple of weeks later I got a reply from the group which told me to use one of the ointments but cover it in 'clingfilm' Yes I didn't believe it either. Four years of horrendous itching a rash that was disfiguring my skin. But after a week it had almost gone. My own GP was astonished and asked if I minded her passing on the treatment , of course I didn't mind, after all that time I was happy it might help someone else. Just wrap the whole area around and around the wound so its like a sock, I promise you won't even notice it, it was like a second skin keep it on night and day. I think it worked because the constant cntact with what ever ointment you use. Good luck if you decide to try, it cured mine, I do hope it helps you.
Are you taking hydroxyurea (aka hydroxycarbamide)? Lower leg wounds are a sign of toxicity. Does your hematologist know about the wound?
Hello Jon, so sorry to hear this, it is obviously very distressing for you. Do you have a MPN? mAZ
