This is probably a daft question but is there any link with interferon and eustachian tube dysfunction?

Interferon and ears!
Morning Hansyhand ! I've been asking myself the same question for a while. I've got a terrible tinnitus and sometimes my eardrums produce the strangest sounds-- just like when you're totally "corked" by a serious cold. I also feel like having an infection most of the time-- but there's no infection and I never have colds for real.
Could be interesting to find out !!!
Have a good day--- Yarrowleaf
Thank you for replying! I'm just wondering if there's a connection as suffering 2nd bout and never had trouble with my ears/nose/throat before interferon. Might just be luck though! 🙄😀
When our bodies are busy creating new blood platelets, our bodies are very exposed to infections, and we get tired and our breathing gets animated, so dust particles a.o. find their way into nose and throat, but when we are busy fixing your blood, there are not enough white cloodcells to fight infections............
It was just a thought Our bodies are logical things-- but they cannot "whistle with their mouth full of popcorn".
It's the same about the gout= lack of sufficient blood influx. And the same with stomach problems.
I can only guess.
Pegasys is associated with tinnitus it can be dose dependant, worth discussing with your haematologist
