Low RDW-CV

Got my CBC result yesterday with the following results:

WBC Count- 8400

RBC Count- 3.91

Hemoglobin- 13.4

Hematocrit- 40.3

Platelet Count- H 469000

MCV- H 103.0

MCH- H 34.3

MCHC- 33.2

RDW-CV- L 10.7

Neutrophils- 51.4

Lymphocytes- 39.7

Monocytes- 7.3

Eosinophils- L 1.6

Basophils- 0.0

I'm disturbed with my RBC Count and RDW-CV. Can anyone enlighten me? My hema is on leave and currently I'm not well. Episodes of bone pain, exhaustion, migraine are frequently happening. I'm on hydroxyurea (1 tablet/day).

Hello Yona, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell, the symptoms you are experiencing are often experienced by people with a MPN, but you really should discuss this and your blood test result with your haematologist. Maz

Thank you for your concern. As I went through the posts I realized that I am not the only one experiencing such.

I will talk to my doctor about my recent experiences and hope that she has any suggestions/solutions in easing the pain.

Oh dear, anxiety kicks in when your hands are tied. How long until your next appointment ? Do you have a CNS nurse you can contact?

I already ask her assistant for an appointment next week. Hope she's back by that time.

I really appreciate the consolation. But may I ask what the doctor advised you to do? How do you feel now? And what MPN do you have?

Hi I’m aged 60 . ET CALR. .nothing they are happy with my bloods and I’m at an MPN specialist hospital.

At the moment I’m really good. I can tell if my platelets are up or not. Best I’ve been for ages. It could be because my platelets are under 400. As I type feeling a little spaced out. If this continues then that means my platelets are on the rise again.

We are all different I’m not I’m pain just tired.

How do you feel?

Mine went under 400, then in March 547, but my headaches are now back. So think my platelets gone up more. So they have a mind of there own.

So you can tell too. It’s so weird that others can’t x
