I received my results from a regular blood test. My WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin and Hematocrit are all elevated. As well as my MCV and RDW. I'm not sure what all this means. My doctor told me about the elevated levels and showed me to the door, without making another appointment which I found very unprofessional. I've been trying to research all of this and find it very confusing. Any and all advice and answers would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't sound very helpful! Do u have a diagnosis?
Hey Krazy-Kat-Mama...
Sounds like you might be needing to seek a second opinion (?)
Your last response also asked a very pertinent question: Was there a diagnosis provided by your doctor?
Also, often people that are younger than 50 years of age, might only be directed to use a blood thinner such as low dose aspirin.
By the way... I love your handle...
Best wishes

Hey again KrazyKatLady...
Hmmm...? Was your doctor a GP or a specialist Haematologist?
If a GP... Then I would perhaps take those results to another GP for interpretation. If a Haematologist..., perhaps you still require a 2nd opinion. If for no other reason than to put your mind at rest...

I have an appointment September 20th with Dr. Trevedi, she's an oncologist and hemotologist. I'm really looking forward to seeing her!!! Krazy-kat-Mama needs to be healthy, with God's Mercy, to take care of the Furrkidz!!!
Hi Krazy-Kat, you really need to discuss these results with your doctor, you should make an appointment either to see him/her in person or via a phone call. Maz
