Hello all, I am travelling to Brazil next week and need to arrange Health Insurance. I have ET with platelets of 804 and just take 75mg aspirin daily. Will Insurance be expensive and can anyone recommend a good Insurer. I am 55 years old.

Never had an issue with insurance with my condition. Unfortunately the issue might be more with your age rather than ET. Mainly due to clotting risks.

Travel advice from me would just make sure your doctor writes a letter stating all the medications you need, specifically saying these need to be on your person at all times. Pack that and the medications in hand luggage.

I never make economies on health insurance especially when I travel because during the trip anything can happen.
