As in 62,000? It's low but from my understanding spontaneous bleeding doesn't usually happen until platelets are under 30,000. But your doctor should definitely be looking into the cause of your thrombocytopenia.
Apparently 50 is the magic number if you need surgery. If below that they need to give platelet transfusion before the procedure. Mine have been hovering around 30 for many months and although I get some really impressive bruises I haven’t had any other issues.
