Dental Implants - recommendations?

Hello to everyone,

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts, cos they make me feel less alienated and help me no end, especially when I’m having a bad day!

I’m trying to decide which dental implant clinic I should go to. I live in the south of the UK and have M.E as well as ET! I have already discounted a clinic in London due to the fact that it’s just too far to travel and the £33k price tag seemed very steep!

Could you let me know which clinic you used and would recommend please?

Thanks again.

I can't recommend a clinic in the south, but my husband had all his teeth replaced with false ones which attach with 2 prongs on the top and 3 on the bottom at a clinic in South Yorkshire, it cost £9500. I expect it will be more expensive in the south but shouldn't be too much more. He hasn't got ET.

Hi Judith,

I have no direct experience of dental implants but an 80 year old friend researched it and choose to have them done in Budapest. The cost was significantly lower and the standards apparently as good or better. I can find our more if you are interested. It involves many trips, but air fares, pick up from airport, hotel, transport to clinic etc is included. A bit further from London.

My sisters husband had dental implants done in Budapest too for exactly the same reason as Mairead has mentioned.

Hi Judi150,

I had a major set back with my implants and ended up visiting ‘Birmingham Dentists’ so if you want the best go there. I saw a peridontal Professor.

It’s an easy walk from the train station.

I would thoroughly recommend implants

Hi Judi150, I do have to point out to you that you have asked for recommendations for dental clinics from the people using this forum, and that MPN Voice or Healthunlocked cannot take any responsibility if you subsequently receive any treatment from one of these clinics which may not be of a high standard or causes you problems.

Sorry to have to point this out, but I do have to ensure that you understand that we cannot be made liable for any mistreatments or problems.

Best wishes, Maz

Hello Maz,

Thank you for your post which I fully understand and accept. In hindsight I did not even think for one moment about the liability angle when I posted my request. I was just looking for recommendations from other people with E.T. Sorry to cause anyone any concern.

Kind Regards Judi

Do you have arthiritis in the jaw - I have known at least 2 people who experienced problems with implants because of this.Sallie
