Dull ache in upper back near spine..

As I recently got m ET diagnosis after my bone marrow biopsy, jak2 negative, still waiting for CAL R results...I am feeling an occasional stabing n kind of dull ache in my upper back.Anyone with similar thing?or any information is it something related to ET? And my elbow of one arm is also very sore.

What led to my hematology referral was pain in my upper left back. It started out severe (nearly went to emergency several times) and then gradually eased up. Eating made it worse. I rarely get it now and when I do it’s a dull, boring sort of pain. We never did find the cause and I don’t know if there is any link to MPNs.

Thanks chelsea..My pain also likelyndbof comes and goes.I hope n pray this wud not turned out somthing serious..My dr. Give me some spray for muscles for that, but its not helping.Actually I am newly diagnosed so everything freaks me out

I too have been diagnosed recently. I am Jak2 positive. I have the same ache in the same areas that you do. My next appointment is in November. I guess it's part of this disease😔 I am thankful that I don't have any other symptoms. Is your pain worse in the morning?

Hi Griffy, my pain can come anytime of the day, sometimes I cant feel it whole day.I dont know what triggers it.but its kind of feels like its not coming from muscles, I feel like its coming from deep down.dr.google put me in fearof pancoast tumor,😬..but m hoping this is ET related.My haemotologist did not showed any concern for my this pain.I had other symptoms of ET also, dizziness and vision disturbances, extreme fatigue and blurr vision.But after I started taking Anagrelide all symptoms eased up Thanks God..only this back pain is bothering me😕....

I also found out about my PV 8 years ago because I had so much pain in my arms - it started from repetitive strain from the computer and they took a blood test to see why the pain wouldn't get better and found the PV. Even though I'm always told it isn't related, I really believe it is. I just joined this group tonight and I see so many people describing this pain, yes stabbing and dull, seems to come out of my neck and either go up into my ears or down my shoulders to my arms. Sometimes stinging, sometimes a dull ache. I have to sit and hold my posture very good. I also have to stand at my desk to work, I can't sit. I don't think the blood flows right. Its awful.
