I have had ET for 10 years,on aspirin. For the past few weeks have been particularly fatigued and its just annoying as cannot get on with things as I wish. Alongside this, I have felt achey and have put on weight - these symptoms together are more like depression. I have suffered with this on and off for years but did not think I was depressed at the moment, blaming ET for symptoms. As I was googling ways to help aches/depression, an article said that there can be platelet changes in the depressed and that platelets have a role in transporting seretonin. Also, caffeine can alter platelets! I was wondering if anyone knows more about these links as have not heard of them before.
