I've been for my colonoscopy this morning (I've had more fun on a Thursday!) Anyway they found a little polyp and removed it. It has to go to the lab but, hopefully, that's it!! As both my parents had bowel cancer to say I am relieved is an understatement! (and that's in every sense of the word with the stuff I had to take yesterday!)
My platelets were up last week, from 379 to 475 but the haem wasn't worried about that, she said it might be because my arthritis is flaring up causing it.
Anyway we celebrated today by going out to lunch to a nice pub. Back on the slimming world diet tomorrow!

Good news Lizzie, yep been there done that played the record with that awful stuff you have to take before hand, for me they found 8 Diverticular pockets, and like you was releaved as my mum had bowel cancer so now make sure that I do the test every three years to be on the safe side, plus with all the drugs we have to take its nice to know that they are not doing any harm to our bodies.
Thank you. The tests are very good. My next door neighbour always binned his, unfortunately he has paid the price and has had 2 operations for bowel cancer which could have been caught a lot earlier and not caused him so many problems. He goes in hospital shortly for a complete abdominal reconstruction as the ops he has had weren't done properly. A precautionary tale! X
Congrats! I love your attitude and humor Lizziep and am very happy about your great news. Thanks for telling us. News on here isn't always good so it's nice to share the good stuff!! Katie
Hi Lizzie , so happy for you ,its a great feeling when tests are over and results are good ! I always do the test that comes in post , I have friends that wont , but the NHS offer all this as a prevention for us when ever possible to look after our own health before symptoms get worse eh .. so yea pleased alls well and take care of yourself Holly x
