Updates on fundraisers
Well they did it, our runners in the Virgin London Marathon on 23rd April all completed the course in extremely good times and raised lots of money for MPN Voice, we would like to say a massive thank you and well done to: Tom Caron, Catriona Coulthurst and James White. They have told us they all had a thoroughly enjoyable time on the day and the experience was amazing, Tom even got a ‘high five’ at the finish line from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! They each have raised an amazing sum of money for MPN Voice and our thanks also go to all their supporters for their generosity, their Just Giving fundraising pages are still open but to date the totals are:
Tom = £4,649.22
Catriona = £3,556.26 (and her employers are also donating £250)
James = £1,365.24 (and his employers are also donating £500)
Also our massive thanks to Becky Paling, who took part in the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon on 12th March and the Vienna Marathon on 23rd April, she said she had an amazing time in Vienna running with her friend Carla, they managed to chat to each other for the first 3 hours and enjoyed the food and drink stations along the way, the final hour was tough but they finished the course, so well done and thank you, her total raised so far is £700.
Thank you also to Joanne Bartels who took part in the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd April which she thoroughly enjoyed and has raised so far £158.36. Well done Joanne and thank you.
Patricia Marshall is taking part in the Marie Curie Etape Caledonia 2017 cycle challenge on Sunday 21st May and will be raising funds for MPN Voice. Tricia’s sister, Sheena, was diagnosed 3 years ago with MF. Tricia has been inspired by Sheena to take part in the event and raise funds for our charity as Sheena herself has been taking part in many events over the last few years all in aid of MPN Voice and has raised fantastic sums to support our aim to find a cure for MPNs, Catriona Coulthurst’s partner also happens to be Sheena’s mum, so between you all you are an amazing family. If you would like to support Tricia you can do so via her Just Giving fundraising page justgiving.com/fundraising/... Good luck from us all.
And finally, good luck to our abseilers for Friday 12th May: Colin Aitkenhead, Suzanne Canavan and Louise Broughton and daughters Rosie and Claire.
Thank you everyone who supports us.
