Blood test on Bone ?

Hi all. i noticed on my blood test form. apart from the usual FBC etc he put another one on form bone ! what can they tell from this test i only saw it after i got home . thanks Holly

Not sure about that one Holly I only have FBC U&Es and LFTs a bit Holby City 😂

Could it be for calcium ? X

Good Holly it means you have a thorough consultant who keeps a check on everything - I have been on HU for ten years checked each 6 weeks and always have on my bloods bone, liver and kidney function! Its good it means all elements are always been checked and looked at to keep you well - so dont worry its all normal 😀 All the best

Thank you yes , untill a few months ago i was only seeing the registra and now i see consultant , he does seem alot more on the ball all the best to you too helpatlast 😀

Hi Holly I just looked on my form I have a full blood count, electrolytes, liver function tests, calcium profile, lactate dehydrogenase (total), Urate but no bone.

maybe Hannah your heam will put bone on your check up on blood ? 😀

Hi I have full count and liver and bone test every 12 weeks so all good they keeping a close eye on you xx

Hi Holly, I had bone, fbc, liver etc., prior to starting hydrea in May. However, since then I only have fbc. I'm wondering is that enough?
