Parkrun

All,

I just wondered if anyone else does a Parkrun on Saturday morning? I've found it's a great way to keep up my fitness and I certainly feel a lot better for it. As it's only 5k (3.1 miles) it's good to give the lungs a bit of exercise although I'm sure they don't appreciate the work they are having to put in. :)

Good for you Mark, I tried running about a decade a go but I got achy knees. The best I do these days is walking the dog I'm afraid. I used to power walk him😊 but he's too old now. I do admire you runners though.

Hi Mark,

Good to hear from another Parkrunner!

I started with my first Parkrun on Boxing Day last year and was hooked. I do most of my running on a treadmill so it is great to get outdoors with other runners and find it a really good way to start a Saturday. I have been unable to run for a few weeks with a knee injury, but am now just about ready to get back to it. I am hoping to get a few runs in before the Autumn and the mud returns.

Keep running!

Hi Mark, Yes I park run nearly every Saturday, I have found that I actually don't notice my headaches when I run which is a nice relief. I think the park run community is absolutely fantastic and would recommend it to anyone as there is not any pressure from anyone and if you need to stop or walk that is just fine (Y) :-)
