Surgery time

Some of you may remember I posted in December about a mass they had found on the site of my removed kidney due to renal cell carcinoma. Well the upshot is that I have surgery booked in for Thursday morning. Three doctors have given me three different opinions so as my surgeon has said the only option is to get in there and have a root around. The siting of this mass does tend to suggest that it is recurrent renal cancer as he himself has said and a pet scan showed it was active. The operation is down as explore and proceed, if they can cut it out they will, if it's attached to anything major they may not be able to get it. The ET hasn't helped me one bit and two weeks ago, despite starting on hydroxy, the platelets were at a million. That obviously brings its own issues under anaesthetic. Anyway, hopefully it's a good outcome, I'll keep you posted.

I‘ll be praying for you on Thursday, Conno 6. one of my friends is an anaesthesiologist and had a patient with 1.2 Million during surgery. It‘s not ideal, but it’s ok. Have trust in your doctors. All the best.
