Thank you Aime, Inca and Ourlife for your replies. I must admit I am a bit concerned about my flight home in two days. I tried again to have my HGB checked but they said it would take five days to get results. I will be home for days by then. Just worried about clots occurring on the long, nearly 8 hr. flight. I know I mentioned before but in the USA I can have my HGB checked in exactly two minutes. A finger prick, a few drops are put into the computer and results appear. Waiting five days here is scary. Now no time for a venesection. The only med I am on is Aspirin. So, I have been hydrating like crazy hoping this will make a difference in my HGB. I purchased a meter back in the states which allows me to check my own HGB. I did not get a chance to use it before we left. I bought it to take with me but then realized airport security might confiscate it at check in. So, here I am worried sick. At least I will be able to put my legs up during the flight. Well, a wonderful month has gone by rather rapidly here in Ireland and I look forward to returning next year, Lord willing So, thank you all once again for your loving support. I am in New Jersey in the summer and Floruda in the winter. If any of you, or my other PV family is heading that way please let me know perhaps we can meet up. I have plenty of room. Thank you all. Sending love n hugs from Ireland and more coming from the US. XX Harlie

I am glad you have had a wonderful time but sad that you are now worried about your flight home. Its a bummer having to wait and I dont see why you have to. When I go to my local hospital here in the UK. my bloods come back in around 20mns. Who did you go to that they said 5 days ? . If your count is high the problem I see is getting the venesection in time. I had my first one yesterday and I fly to Turkey on Monday, a 5 hour journey. You are doing the right thing with the Asprin , drinking plenty fluids , keep moving your legs as much as possible, even just rotating your feet when sitting, other than that maybe someone else here can offer some other advise. My Mantra is What will be will be and why worry about tomorrow when you can live today, so don't stress too much, hard as it is. My Daughter lives in Houston and Nothing will stop me going over there. Take care and let your over the Pond family here know you got back safe.

Much love

Anne.
