Happy New Year. Prayers to you on your upcoming surgery.
You must have been pretty uncomfortable at times Twinkly. Once you are "unkinked and smoothed out" you may feel better than for years. Lots of love goes from us through your op with you.xx❤
A steady hand is always a fine attribute of any surgeon, I find!! But joking aside, I hope everything goes well for you. Remember to ask questions if you are unsure about anything. It is your right to ask about your procedure. Never feel you are being a nuisance for wanting info about YOUR health. I used to be a nurse, and so many patients worried about pestering the surgeons. When you sign your consent is the time to do it. Good luck!
Happy New Year to you too Twinkly. I am sure your star will shine bright so it will guide the surgeons hand, so keep twinkling.

Good luck Twinkly - hope everything goes well for you. Will be thinking of you.
Hi Twinkly! There's a wonderful CD by Belle Ruth Naperstack (sp?) called preparing for surgery, or something like that. If you have time to get it I'd encourage you to. Numerous US hospitals suggest patients to use it as its been found to reduce stress substantially and lead to better & faster recovery. If you don't have time to get it, one of the images I recall is to imagine yourself going into the surgical room surrounded by everyone who loves & cares about you. And they're surrounding you during the entire surgery looking fondly at you with expressions of kindness, love & support. I'm really not doing it justice but last used it years ago for some ovarian cancer & it was a great. help. They recommend using it as far in advance as possible but studies have shown that even one nights listening to it has a positive affect. But just think how many loving and caring people you'll have watching after you. Your family, friends, and all of us......All there to watch after you and keep you safe.
Speedy recovery. Please let us know how you're doing.
Katie
Hi. It's very understandable that you're scared. You'd be unusual if you weren't. But try and relax mentally as much as you can. And picture in your mind how wonderful it will be to be finished with your surgery and try and experience a feeling of calm envisioning yourself a month from now; all healthy and active. PS. In that Belle Rith Naperstack CD she included among those looking on during surgery, old friends and relatives from now and the past, and our PETS! Be confident, you're a very strong woman. Katie
