Hello J.D. Long time no hear ! I'm wondering ,are you home or still in hospital ? The travelling backwards and forwards must put such a strain on your recovery ! I just hope your keeping positive ,wish I lived nearer we could at least have a cuppa and a chat ..eat small and healthy and drink lots to wash the system ..please take care of yourself ..sending you lots of love ,,from mother hen ..be well my wayward son .. Twinkly x

I'm home and have been for a good time thankfully. I can't eat small as I desparately need weight gain , but I do eat reasonably healthy in my opinion. Of course being on steroids means I have almost permanent hunger pangs. Water retention in my legs is a problem at mo again steroid related. So will have to pop a water tablet for a few days.

Yes it would be good to meet now and then for a cuppa. X

Hi Twinkly,

You are an inspiration, I have been of the mind set that if my body is ...... (Lots of words I could use ) let's say broken, then what difference does it make what I eat or drink? The stuff I consume (all legal ) while good for the mind may not be so good for the body. I will try harder from now on.

Well done and good luck.

Our life ..I promise you if you put clean growing healthy colourful food ,,fruit and green ,root Vegs ,juice ,lots of water ..your blood will refurbish ,your energy will grow ,the grey cloud of depression will lift ,,positive determined attitude will take place ..your body will feel the difference ,..I know it's difficult to believe me in print maybe ! But I'm so sure it's why my surgery was a success ,,you have nothing to lose and so very much to gain ..twinkly x

Lookin good, Twinkly! So glad to hear that you have had successful surgery. I'm amazed that you were allowed to continue with clopidogrel during your stay in hospital. (Did they actually know you were taking it.?). Anti-platelet drugs and surgery are not usually good companions!

I agree with the good food and gentle exercise though. I bought a smoothie maker before Christmas and I'm sure my partner thought it would be a nine day wonder but I have managed to convert him too now and it it a well used piece of kit!

Take care and keep well

Best wishes, Jan
