I keep getting a low grade fever of about 37.5. All of a sudden I feel really hot, then in the space of ten minutes, it is back to normal. This happens several times a day. I'm not menopausal so it isn't hot flushes. Just wondered if it was just me?

Anyone get a temperature?
Hi lynnieb, you are not alone, this happens to me too! I am also not menopausal. It used to be just during the night but now it's several times during the day as well.

Hi snap. I have PV, bloods ok at the moment yet I'm bothered with these slight fevers too. Not pleasant. Kind regards Aime xx😺
Hi Lynnie
You are not alone. Me too. I have ET, platelets been under control for quite a while but still really hot feelings like flushes both night and day. I am told it not my thyroid issue either as that is apparently controlled too and I am not menopausal either. Don't know what to put it down too but it's a real pain esp at night when you wake up because of it. I feel for you. Liz xx
I too can relate to internal spontaneous combustion. It is not as bad as menopause hot flashes though.
yes me too, worse if I am unwell or have had a glass of wine!
That's terrible news, I like a glass of wine in the evening!😃 I was told by my Hemo thus was a normal side effect with MPDs and not to worry. I would rather put up than give up the wine though. Lol.
Me too get these regularly and worse if unwell, face and nose literally drip
So glad it's not just me!! I get really hot, feel a bit light headed, as though I've got low blood sugar, then just as suddenly it's gone. The night ones are awful, get really sweaty!! Not menopausal (that was done with years ago)

ditto im over memopausal , and think its the ET x
I have PRV and get the exact same thing, and unfortunately have a double whammy of it as I am menopausal. My life appears to be one long symptom filled ride full of heat, sweat and itchiness.

I have mega sweat outs day and night, my head feels so hot that you could almost fry an egg on it but the strange thing is it's just my head and neck, the rest of me feels cool to touch. It's so embarrassing my face and hair are literally dripping. I have discussed with my haematologist who is very sympathetic but so far has not given any advice on how this can be controlled.
Hi, me too. I find it quite debilitating. Sometimes I go so hot that I feel nauseous. I have bad days where it can be more than ten times and good days where it's just a couple. But it's every day. Mine starts with a prickle along the top of my forehead. Xx
Yes I have ET and my bloods have been good for a few years but I have awful sweats at night. I can go a week and nothing then Ihave to get out of shops as I feel sick and will faint. I thought it might be when I had had a drink but thankfully it is not. Not drunk since Christmas and was up in the night changing my wet nightie. My haematologist tested me incase I had a haemotoma as I also lost much weight. It was negative. It's good to know that others suffer and does seem to be a symptom despite what we are told. Think I get them more when I am a little over tired. X
Yes. I get them all the time too, while parts of (chest particularly) very cold.x
Please don't worry too much about this hot feeling ,,it's flushing ,we all of us do seem to get this ,,, at the forums and get togethers its the most common subject we all disguss..you can really help yourself ,if you drink much more than was normal for you in a day . Bottled water ,or fruit juices are the best ! Melon is good too .its so liquid ..
Tea is ok. Try green tea or the fancy ones ,they do help .eat as green as possible too ..anything growing ,,leafy and green is so good for us ,,I do more than 5 a day and I'm really quite active and on the go ,,, Happy new year to you ,,love twinkly. Xxx
I get so hot that it feels as if all my body inside and out is on the fire, several times a day and night. I am not menopausal. Will check out temperature.
Wishing you well
Hi lynnieb yes i do ,and do wonder if its this Mpn ! 😙
Part of me is relieved in isn't just me, but I'm just so sad for us all
Hi guys, I notice some of us are saying we have a rise in temp according to the thermometer and others are sweating and flushing. How many of you have both like I do? The temp rise 37.5 to about 37.9 definitely make me feel slightly flu like whereas the sweaty flushes result in feeling sick, light headed and swingy on the feet for want of a better term. Of course when I get my temp checked by a medic it's back down to my usual 36.2. Typical! Kind regards Aime xx😺
Past hot flashes but I do seem to heat up through out the day. Just seem to be very sensitive to temperatures.
I had (have?) PMF and recently had a SCT.
My haemo always says to me anything under 38.5 doesn't really interest him unless it lasts.
At 39.7 another haemo who follows up on SCT patients made me come back to the hospital!
Hope your discomfort gets sorted out quickly.

Snap. Sudden hot flushes that are pretty severe but thankfully short lived then most other times I am freezing cold and wrapped in a blanket! Hubby is hot blooded so the poor guy is sweating his socks off while I am wrapped up like a kipper lol
