Lumps in abdomen

Hi all, I was diagnosed with lumps in my lower abdomen near my right hip bone: one 1/2 inch or so and multiple little ones. Can't see oncologist until Tuesday so wonder if any of you know if they could be related to my bone marrow cancer or have any ideas.

Thanks folks. Katie.

Hi Katie. Could possibly be lymph nodes apparently: I get checked for this every so often, but I know nothing about it. Must seem a long wait until Tuesday. Best wishes Jane

Hi Katie, sorry to hear you have a worrying diagnosis and that you have to wait until Tuesday to get answers. I am no medic and haven't experienced such lumps myself but just want you to know I'm thinking about you. Try not to worry about something which may not exist, I know it's easier said than done. Best wishes Aime x😺😺

I'm praying its nothing Katie, did you ever get to Sloan Kettering, I think that is where you said you were going or maybe not? I'm trying to get into John Hopkins but it takes a long time, I think all of us even though we like our current Hematologist should see an MPN specialist, my Dr said he is treating 11 patients but then I ask again and he said a few, I think he forgets. I was talking to a girl in my State who said her hematologist actually recommended she see a specialist at Hopkins that deal with MPN's at least once a year. She does not have ET, she has PV but she was taking HU for 9 months and then the Hopkins Dr's recommended pegasys and she finally found funding for it.

I also heard they are doing a trial to see if Jakifi works for ET. Anyone know anything about that???.

Hi Katie, it would be best for you to get a diagnosis for these lumps from your medical team. Best wishes, Maz
