Covid vaccination and migraines - some good news!

Hi all, I just wanted to come on with some positive news if anyone is worried about the side effects of getting a covid jab, as I was until now! I had mine done early yesterday and today I am feeling normal, with no severe attack. I usually have a least one severe migraine attack per week, lasting at least two days, and I also suffer from chronic (migraine) vertigo leaving me pretty much housebound.

Re the jab - today my arm hurts so I think if the jab was going to kick off a migraine then it would’ve happened by now, but nope, nothing! …so basically I worried and put it off when I didn’t need to! Just thought I’d spread the good news, as I know all these things can be a scary prospect when you’re already feeling so unwell with chronic migraines.

Ps I had the Pfizer hope that helps!

Agreed! I got Moderna and there was no noticable difference in my migraines. Just a sore arm both times...maybe extra fatigue the second time, but nothing terrible. It's such a profound relief to have had it done.

I’ve had mine (Oxford/Astrazenica) and the booster, with no problem either time. I’m CEV (unrelated to my migraine) so I’m really looking forward to my third jab.
