In have been getting moderate to severe migraine headaches for the last 9 days. Prior to this they occurred once per week on average. I'm going to my GP this afternoon, but reading how much the Daith piercing has helped you almost makes me want to go get one before I start spending all kinds of time and energy trying different meds with all their side effects. I'm a male and know it would look a little odd on me since I'm not a piercing kind of person, but if it helps then I really don't care what it looks like. Are Daith piercings typically done by a medical professional? What's the procedure like?

The procedure is done at tattoo shops that do body piercing . It’s a safe procedure. They sterilize the jewelry for an hour prior then it only takes a couple of minutes they have jewelry that is not so feminine for males that don’t have to be so noticeable . When’s I had it done there was a lot of pressure but once the earring was in It went away. I felt a little off balance for the first day almost like if I had one drink but my migraines went away. The cost is not that high either. I paid $35.00. Please let me know how it works for you. If you don’t like you can take it out . I had it done 2 times the first one I had on 4 months I was cleaning and took it out . I couldn’t get it back in; within a week my migraines returned . I suffered two months of migraines almost daily. I went and had the other side done and they are gone again. I truly believe that you will benefit from it.

I've heard so many mixed reviews on this and whether or not. Some have great results, others have no results. My doctor told me that he believes it's all in your head. So I dunno.

Lol is the Migraines all in your head ? When I first had the piercing done I didn’t even think that it would help my migraines; I thought it looks beautiful. It defiantly does something , cause my Pain from migraines hasn’t returned . I do get Pressure in my head some but I get no pain and it goes away quick .

Do you still see benefits from the daith? I've been hearing more about it and mostly positive...hope you are doing well.

I had both ears done and had a slight change but i think it was just pain transferance. I lost both when i had to have surgery, couldn't put them back in as i had devices fitted into my rar canals that need removing once a week, couldn't get them passed the piercings.

I'm so glad they helped you. I would have loved to have kept mine and given it more than 3 mths 😣

I've suffered migraine 40yrs now , horrible disabling disease.

If you don't have the daith you should definitely try it.👍

I just had mine done. Researched the local folks who do piercings and found one that specifically listed daith piercings. My research indicated there is a science to it, and my piercer had been trained in the Far East. It turns out, though, that you need the proper anatomy to have it done. Didn't know that. I believe my headaches have improved, in that I can tell the difference between a sinus headache and a migraine. And if it doesn't work, who cares? You have really cool piercings and you didn't have to take some awful medicine with side effects. I'm not a person with a lot of pierces, and I work in a conservative office. No one has said anything, not even asked me about them. So I would encourage you to get them. Do your homework, make sure where you get them done is registered with the health department (they have to in the US), and make sure they open the tools they are going to use from sealed packages right in front of you. They should even use a clean needle for each ear. And it really doesn't hurt that bad.

After awhile you really start to notice the difference it makes . Best of wishes
