Hi I've had migraines for some years, mostly aura migraines and not as bad as some people. I was talking today to a friend who had been to the doctors with Vertigo (something i also suffer from.) Her doctor has recommended Vitamin B2 and says her vertigo is caused by migraines. Has anyone been told this????

Hi Mary,Thanks for the reply.Could this be related to thyroid?? I believe my friend falls into the bloods normal thyroid category. A lot of her symptoms are so like my own. Have you moved yet ??
Hughes Syndrome/APS often comes as a trio of disease - Hughes/Thyroid and Sjogrens and often other family members will have other autoimmune disease. No I have not moved, problems at the last minute! MaryF
I haven't been told this. But I do take a fairly strong dose of B complex everyday and have found it helps reduce the migraines. It also helps with cramps in my feet and reduces hair loss. Fab stuff. Worth a try?
Yes migraine sufferers often experience vertigo associated with their migraine. Vitamin B2 400 mg daily after breakfast, for between 3 months and 12 months could be worth trying, it is certainly something we recommend to some patients at NMC. Although the best thing really is to see a migraine specialist. You can book to come to see one of our doctors on 0207 251 3322.
I also get vertigo with a migraine. In fact, it was how I got a diagnosis of migraine in the first place - I got referred to an ENT "Dizziness clinic"! Sometimes I get the headache with the migraine and sometimes not.
No, I have vertigo also, but infrequently. It is caused by damage to the inner ear. But one product I use that has been great is Migraine Support Formula. It really works! Start as they suggest.2 caps 2xper day..then after a couple if weeks can back down
